People in need of a warm, safe place to stay during the winter months will soon have access to additional temporary shelter spaces in Kelowna, thanks to a partnership between the Province and Turning Points Collaborative Society.

The Province, through BC Housing, and Turning Points Collaborative Society, is working on a proposed development to build up to 52 new homes with supports for people experiencing homelessness.

Fifty-one supportive homes with around-the-clock supports are opening in Kelowna to help people experiencing homelessness in the community.

The Government of B.C., the City of Kelowna and Canadian Mental Health Association Kelowna are working in partnership to build close to 40 new urgently needed supportive homes for people experiencing homelessness in Kelowna.

People experiencing homelessness in Kelowna will soon have a place to call their own as new permanent supportive homes with around-the-clock care and supports open in the community.

More people experiencing homelessness in Kelowna will soon have a safe and warm space to stay as the Province is partnering with a new service provider to open a temporary shelter for people in need.

Forty people who have been accepted into under-construction supportive housing will soon be moving into temporary bridge housing, making way for more people experiencing homelessness to access shelter spaces.

Responding to the need for more supportive housing in Kelowna, a new project in Rutland will provide safe and secure homes for people experiencing homelessness, as well as young people who are struggling to find suitable housing.
