The Province and the Langley school district are tackling rapid community growth and increasing student enrolment with more than $67 million to create more seats, classrooms and a new school for students and families in the Willoughby Slope area.

The British Columbia government announced an investment of $401,000 in the Roofing Contractors Association of B.C. (RCABC) for skills training in high-priority trades seats.

The Province announced that it has invested, through the Industry Training Authority (ITA), a combined $660,000 to three training providers in Langley for skills training seats in high-priority trades.

Langley Secondary school will be seismically upgraded and the Langley school district has been given the go ahead by the Ministry of Education to start planning for a new secondary school in the Willoughby Slope area.

Minister of Environment Mary Polak, on behalf of Premier Christy Clark, will present Kamal Dhillon, a courageous Langley citizen, with the province’s newest honour, the Medal of Good Citizenship.
