Due to the risk of landslides resulting from heavy rain, Highway 1 will be closed between Lytton and Spences Bridge on Friday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.

Highway 12 from Lytton to Lillooet is open.

Highway 1 has reopened between Lytton and Spences Bridge and Highway 12 has reopened between Lytton and Lillooet. 

BC Wildfire Service crews and local partners plan to conduct a series of prescribed burns in the Lytton area over the coming weeks to reduce wildfire risks.

Families at the Nzen’man’ child care centre are now paying no more than $200 a month per child as part of a B.C. government universal child care prototype project.

Chinese British Columbians, leaders of a number of First Nations and representatives of the Town of Lytton gathered today for the unveiling of a special commemorative plaque honouring early Chinese settlers.

The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development plans to conduct two prescribed burns in the Lillooet Fire Zone over the next few weeks, to help reduce wildfire threats in the area.

WorkBC’s Find Your Fit Tour will be at Kumsheen Secondary school in Lytton on Tuesday, Nov. 7 and open to the public from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Lytton is receiving federal-provincial investments in critical clean water and wastewater infrastructure.

The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, in co-operation with the Village of Lytton and the Lytton First Nation, is planning to conduct additional prescribed burns in the Lillooet Fire Zone to reduce wildfire threats.
