Students, families and staff in Maple Ridge can look forward to a new and expanded Eric Langton Elementary school now that funding to replace the school has been approved.

By the end of next year, every student in Maple Ridge will be going to a seismically safe school, Premier John Horgan announced today.

Students in the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows School District will benefit from over $1.4 million in provincial funding for school upgrade projects and classroom supplies, MLA Doug Bing announced on behalf of Education Minister Mike Bernier.

Students in the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows School District are connecting with skills and technology training development thanks to a $17,500 grant to the district from the Province’s Shoulder Tappers Program.

Students, teachers and staff at Maple Ridge Secondary school in the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows school district will benefit from $300,000 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.

Families in the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows school district will no longer pay fees for eligible bus riders thanks to $185,990 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Students and teachers at Thomas Haney Secondary school, Garibaldi Secondary school and Westview Secondary school in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Secondary school in Pitt Meadows will benefit from innovative learning concepts being put into action thanks to 15 new K-12 Innovation Partnership projects.
