Students studying at Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) Nanaimo campus will have access to more on-campus housing beds and a new dining hall, with construction underway.

Indigenous students at Vancouver Island University (VIU) now have access to more space for ceremonial and support services with the opening of the newly expanded space in the Shq’apthut (a gathering place) building on campus.  

More students who study at Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) Nanaimo campus will be able to live where they learn with the addition of 266 new student housing beds and a new dining hall.
