Students at Nanaimo’s Dover Bay Secondary school will have four new classrooms to learn in once a renovation to their school is complete in 2022.

Students at Nanaimo’s Hammond Bay Elementary can look forward to learning in new, modern classrooms as work is underway to expand the school and provide better learning environments for children in the community.

Students at two Nanaimo schools will soon be safe in the event of an earthquake, with seismic upgrades coming to Cilaire and Pleasant Valley elementary schools.                    

Students in the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District will benefit from over $1.8 million in provincial funding for school upgrade projects and classroom supplies, MLA Michelle Stilwell announced on behalf of Education Minister Mike Bernier.
