WorkBC’s Find Your Fit Tour will be in Pemberton at Pemberton Secondary school on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, and open to the public from 3:30–7 p.m.

And they’re off! Local sporthorse breeder and rider and horse-training company, Dreamcatcher Meadows Sporthorse Breeding and Training Centre (DMV), is launching a project to increase awareness and sales of  B.C. bred sporthorses.

The B.C. government is providing $91,000 to two organizations to help manage invasive plants in the Sea to Sky area.

Up to 36 British Columbians from Pemberton, Mount Currie and surrounding areas are receiving the training they need for jobs in their communities, thanks to the federal-provincial partnership under the Canada-B.C. Job Fund Agreement.

Four school districts in the region will receive a combined $90,000 in funding for the Youth Work in Trades program to boost trades training for young people.

BC Wildfire Service crews will be conducting a series of controlled pile burns in the Pemberton area in October and November to remove logging debris and reduce the risk of wildfires in the area.
