Okanagan College Penticton students will soon have access to affordable, on-campus housing for the first time with funding approved for a 101-bed student-housing project.  

More than 30 Indigenous learners from Penticton Indian Band and surrounding areas are getting education and skills training in their community to prepare for rewarding careers in construction and natural resource sectors.

Aboriginal learners in British Columbia will have more opportunities to access skills training programs to help them on their career paths, thanks to a further investment of $1.8 million in the Aboriginal Training for Employment Program (ATEP).

Facilities at Okanagan College are being upgraded and modernized, thanks to over $570,000 in capital funding that is part of government's investment in public post-secondary infrastructure this year.

Okanagan College's newest building - a world-class teaching and applied research facility dedicated to sustainable building technologies - officially opened its doors today.
