Penticton children and their families are benefiting from 34 new before- and after-school child care spaces at the Leapin Lizard’s Daycare Centre located on the grounds of Columbia Elementary school.

More than 100 children and their families will benefit from a new child care centre open on Edmonton Avenue in Penticton.

Francophone families in Penticton now have certainty that École Entre-lacs will permanently serve public school students in their community.

Government is continuing to support rural communities with a $733,523 investment under the Rural Education Enhancement Fund (REEF) to help the Okanagan Skaha School District keep Trout Creek elementary in Trout Creek and West Bench elementary in West Bench open.

Students in the Okanagan-Skaha School District will benefit from over $1 million in provincial funding for school upgrade projects and classroom supplies, MLA Dan Ashton announced on behalf of Education Minister Mike Bernier.

Students, teachers and staff at Uplands Elementary school in the Okanagan – Skaha school district will benefit from $530,000 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.          

Families in the Okanagan-Skaha school district will benefit from improved transportation services thanks to $167,035 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.
