Building on the economic benefits and jobs created by getting to yes on major projects and provincial investments in infrastructure, Penticton MLA Dan Ashton announced immediate investments and a long-term action plan outlined in B.C.’s rural economic development strategy that will create jobs and economic opportunities in the Penticton area.

An asphalt resurfacing project has been awarded to Peter’s Bros. Construction Ltd. of Penticton in the amount of $1.9 million to resurface 11 kilometres of Highway 97 in the Summerland area.

Cantex-Okanagan Construction Ltd. of Penticton has won this year’s Deputy Minister’s Contractor of the Year Award in the category of grading for the Highway 97, 74 Mile to 76 Mile four-laning project located south of 100 Mile House.
