The successful Safe Community Situation Table program is expanding in Penticton to use a collaborative, early intervention approach to address complex social challenges by delivering faster access to services to people at high risk of harm, victimization or committing crime to survive.

An independent review of supportive housing sites in Penticton found that residents are benefiting from having a stable home with access to supports.

A new temporary shelter with 42 beds for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness is open in Penticton.

The Province, through BC Housing, is proceeding with a proposal for a new temporary shelter that would provide a safe place to sleep for people staying in Penticton’s Victory Church shelter after it closes in spring 2022.

The Province, through BC Housing, has purchased three motels in Penticton as part of a proposed redevelopment plan to preserve and revitalize 105 affordable homes for people with low incomes in the community. 

The Province, through BC Housing, has purchased a site in Penticton as the future location of 50 new permanent supportive homes for people who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
