Families in Powell River have access to 28 new child care spaces opening at Kelly Creek Community school, including 12 spaces for children younger than three, and 16 spaces for children ages three to five.

Students, families and the francophone community are benefiting from a structurally safe and upgraded school, with work now complete on the $2.8-million l’École Côte-du-Soleil school seismic mitigation project.

Students, teachers and staff at six schools in the Powell River school district will benefit from $149,028 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.

Upgrades and structural improvements are on the way for L'École Côte-du-Soleil to further safeguard students and staff in the event of an earthquake.
