The Province is working with the City of Prince George on a proposal to deliver an additional 50 safe and supportive homes for people experiencing homelessness.

The Northern Healthy Communities Fund, targeted to help address service needs in growing communities that are experiencing large-scale economic development, is now accepting applications.

People in Prince George will benefit from public healthcare in a modern medical setting, as the Province has approved the concept plan for a new patient care tower, including a new cardiac care unit, at University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC).

As part of continued efforts to enhance access to justice, the Government of British Columbia has awarded a $250,000 grant to Active Support Against Poverty (ASAP) that will allow the organization to host a legal clinic.

People who live and work in the North will be able to continue to rely on inter-city bus services, with funding provided by the Province and Government of Canada, through to March 31, 2021.
