More students in B.C.’s north will connect with the skills and experience they need for the jobs of the future through an expanded $4.9-million Shoulder Tappers program.

There’s nothing small about the impact small businesses have on B.C.’s economy according to the 2015 Small Businesses Profile.

Work is now underway to resurface more than 26 kilometres of roads in the Quesnel area, providing driving improvements for local drivers, the commercial trucking industry and tourists.

Effective Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, through Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, the Cariboo River Forest Service Road (8400 Road) will be closed at the 0.75 kilometre mark to allow for the replacement of a bridge over the Cariboo River.

The tourism sector is having an excellent year and it’s not surprising that many British Columbians are choosing to staycation and enjoy the spectacular tourism experiences in their own backyards.

As part of the Province’s work to make sure British Columbians have access to high-quality primary care, 14 internationally-trained physicians will begin practicing in rural and remote communities in B.C. this month, including a new family doctor in Quesnel.
