Fifteen more students in Quesnel will be able to get the education and skills to pursue a fulfilling and in-demand career as health-care assistants, with the expansion of the program at the College of New Caledonia (CNC).

Students at the Quesnel campus of the College of New Caledonia will be able to access two new short-term courses, camp cook and essential office skills, that will prepare them for in-demand occupations.

The North Cariboo Community Campus in Quesnel is celebrating its 10th anniversary having delivered quality education and training to thousands of students in the region.

Twelve Aboriginal learners in the Quesnel area are brushing up on their skills as they prepare to enter the trades with support from a community-based education and training partnership between the College of New Caledonia and the Lhtako Dene Nation.

The College of New Caledonia (CNC) has received $150,000 from the Province under B.C.'s Skills for Jobs Blueprint to provide job skills training and retraining opportunities for workers affected by the closure of the Canfor sawmill in Quesnel.
