People in the Quesnel area can now travel a recently completed new section of West Fraser Road after the old road washed out in 2018. 

A new website has launched to help people stay up to date on the work being done to recover from major slides and road washouts.

People living in British Columbia’s Cariboo region are benefiting from nearly $4 million in transportation investments made to support the region during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Work to rebuild and realign the washed-out portion of West Fraser Road will get underway this spring, improving the lives of people in the region by creating a safer, more reliable road and bridge.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure invites people to go online and view the selected option to rebuild and realign West Fraser Road, south of Quesnel.
