Revelstoke-area families are being encouraged to attend an open house on Friday, March 10, 2017, to share their ideas on how to transform rural education in British Columbia.

The world is changing and B.C. students need to be ready to adapt to the careers of tomorrow. Students in the Revelstoke School District will be prepared thanks to $22,500 in provincial funding awarded to the district, helping to connect kids with opportunities in skilled trades and tech training. 

Students, teachers and staff at Arrow Heights Elementary school in the Revelstoke school district will benefit from $290,000 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.

Families in the Revelstoke school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $49,847 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Aboriginal students in the Revelstoke school district (SD 19) are graduating at a higher rate than the British Columbia average. 

Begbie View Elementary school has been a hub of activities since students moved in this September and today at the official opening, the Revelstoke school board and community members saw first-hand why students and teachers are so proud of their $15.4-million school.
