Improved transit reliability, travel-time savings for drivers and more effective active transportation connections are on the way in Richmond.

B.C. has launched a new three-year roadmap for rebuilding and revitalizing tourism, creating jobs and opportunities for people and communities in every part of the province.

More than 14,000 B.C. students will soon have access to new, safe and accessible playgrounds as the Province doubles its annual investment in the Playground Equipment Program (PEP). 

A new eight-lane immersed-tube tunnel will replace the George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99, providing people a toll-free crossing that aligns with regional interests and improves transit, cycling and walking connections across the Fraser River.

A new state-of-the-art emergency department and intensive care unit are just two of the improvements people in Richmond will see with more services and better health care as the Province moves ahead with an approved business plan for an expanded Richmond Hospital.

More parents in Delta and Richmond will have the option to return to work, go back to school or pursue other opportunities as the Province invests in nearly 50 new licensed child care spaces, 27 of which are expected to be open this summer.
