A community meeting for B.C.’s first Poverty Reduction Strategy will take place in Richmond on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018.

More than 700 students can now look forward to attending a safer school in Richmond.

Provincial funding of $12 million will bring approximately 80 new affordable homes for low-to moderate-income renters and adults with mental health challenges at a new housing development in Richmond.

Students in the Richmond School District are connecting with skills and technology training development thanks to a $17,500 grant to the district from the Province’s Shoulder Tappers Program.

Students, teachers and staff at École Côte Du Soleil in the Conseil Scolaire Francophone school district will benefit from $151,540 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.

Students, teachers and staff at R.C. Talmey Elementary school in the Richmond school district will benefit from $330,000 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.  

Families in the Conseil scolaire francophone school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $150,415 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.
