People using the George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99 are advised of a change to rush-hour counterflow operations beginning Monday, March 11, 2024, as the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure upgrades the system.

Crews worked around the clock on the weekend on repairs to the Steveston Highway crossing over Highway 99 so that two-way traffic could be restored in time for the Monday morning commute.

Drivers are advised that repairs to the Steveston Highway crossing over Highway 99 are underway with single-lane-alternating traffic in place until repairs are completed next week.

Drivers are advised that the eastbound travel lane of the Steveston Highway crossing over Highway 99 has been closed for a structural assessment.

Drivers are advised that Highway 99 northbound and southbound will be closed overnight Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at the Steveston Interchange.
