The first round of public engagement for a transit-oriented development near Uptown Shopping Centre will run from Monday, Aug. 19 until Sept. 18, 2024.

People travelling in the evenings along Highway 1 in Saanich can expect to see work starting this week on the Colquitz River Bridges Widening Project.

People are invited to an information session about transit and active transportation-related improvement plans to the Ravine Way area.

Highway 1 southbound and northbound between Tillicum Road and Admirals/McKenzie Avenue will be closed overnight on Oct. 2, from 11 p.m. until the following morning at 5 a.m.

People in the area of Keating Cross Road and the Pat Bay Highway will see workers on site through July and August as initial engineering work gets underway on the Highway 17/Keating Cross Road Flyover Project.

Recreational cyclists, bike commuters and pedestrians who use the Galloping Goose Regional Trail are advised that a section of the trail will be closed at the McKenzie interchange construction site from Monday, Jan. 6, until the end of January.

Construction of the new multi-use overpass at the McKenzie Interchange will result in overnight lane closures and a detour on Highway 1 on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019.

Another milestone will be reached at the McKenzie interchange project on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, when traffic is transitioned to the new bridge over the highway.

Construction of the new multi-use overpass at the McKenzie Interchange will result in the overnight closure of the southbound slow lane on Highway 1 on Friday, Oct. 4. One southbound lane of traffic will remain open.
