Drivers are advised of an overnight closure of the northbound Highway 1 lanes on the Colquitz River Bridge on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, as work advances on the Colquitz River Bridge Widening Project.

Major improvements to the Uptown area of Saanich will make it easier for people to choose transit to get around Greater Victoria.

All travellers – including drivers, pedestrians and cyclists – are advised that McKenzie Avenue will be closed while construction crews pour the new concrete deck for the Galloping Goose Trail bridge as part of the McKenzie Interchange Project.

Travellers are advised that crews are repaving approximately four kilometres of the Pat Bay Highway (Highway 17) in both directions between Vanalman Avenue and Haliburton Road.

Drivers are advised that Highway 1 will be closed overnight between McKenzie Avenue/Admirals Road and Six Mile Road to ensure the safety of drivers and construction crews while the old pedestrian-cyclist bridge is removed.
