Winter weather is forecast for the South Coast region and people travelling the Sea to Sky corridor and the eastern Fraser Valley should plan for snowy conditions.

Families in the Sea to Sky school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $265,534 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Plans are in motion to explore improved transit service for the Sea to Sky corridor – a growing region that the B.C. government has identified as a priority area for expansion.

The provincial government is providing $435,000 to Carbon Engineering Ltd. to support an engineering study that will assess the potential and feasibility of using carbon dioxide (CO₂) “scrubbed” out of the air at its direct-air capture demonstration plant in Squamish to produce synthetic diesel or gasoline fuel.
