The B.C. government plans to conduct aerial-spray treatments in four Lower Mainland locations, as well as Chilliwack, in spring 2022 to prevent Lymantria moths from becoming established and to minimize the risk they pose to forests, farms, orchards and urban trees.

The first aerial-spraying treatment to eradicate invasive gypsy moths from 241 hectares of residential and municipal park land in the Fraser Heights neighbourhood of Surrey will occur in the first week of May 2020, weather permitting.

Sixty-two hectares of residential and municipal park land in North Surrey are planned for an aerial spray beginning in early May until June 30, 2019.
