More than 350 new student beds and a dining hall are coming to Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s (KPU) Surrey campus, marking the first on-campus housing project for KPU.

The Province has added 65 nurse practitioner (NP) training seats to three post-secondary institutions, making training accessible in five regions throughout the province and supporting the growth of B.C.’s health-care workforce.

Families in 12 communities throughout the province are benefiting from 640 new child care spaces on school grounds, expanding access to high-quality child care for young children, as well as before- and after-school care.

Police departments throughout B.C. will have access to more resources to combat repeat violent offending, ensuring they have the tools they need to help keep people, businesses and communities safe.

More people will have the opportunity to train for in-demand careers, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists and midwives, at a new state-of-the-art University of British Columbia (UBC) facility in Surrey.

A made-in-B.C. model of addictions care, which is improving the way people access services, is expanding.
