Drivers are advised that repairs to the 192nd Street crossing over Highway 1 will require overnight westbound highway lane closures starting tonight, Monday, Jan. 9, through Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023.

The Government of British Columbia has invited two pre-qualified bidding teams to participate in the request for proposals (RFP) stage to design, build and finance the elevated guideway, roadworks and utilities, as well as active transportation elements of the Surrey Langley SkyTrain.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure advises that ferry service between Barnston Island and Port Kells will be adjusted based on Fraser River water levels, and in support of any flood-related evacuation alerts and orders that may be issued for Barnston Island.

The B.C. government plans to conduct aerial-spray treatments in four Lower Mainland locations, as well as Chilliwack, in spring 2022 to prevent Lymantria moths from becoming established and to minimize the risk they pose to forests, farms, orchards and urban trees.

Barnston Island Ferry users are advised that repairs at both ferry docks will begin in January 2022.

As winter approaches, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is readying Lower Mainland highways and bridges to keep people and goods moving safely and efficiently during inclement weather.
