Thousands of people living and working in northwestern B.C. will benefit from a regional funding agreement that will create jobs and bring much-needed infrastructure projects to support economic growth in their communities.

Renovations at the Terrace Sportsplex have transformed a multipurpose room into 30 before- and after-school child care spaces for school-aged children allowing parents to pursue work, school and other opportunities.

The Province of British Columbia, the Government of Canada, Kitselas First Nation and Kitsumkalum First Nation are releasing a “what we heard” report from discussions with the public about the closing of Kitselas Treaty and Kitsumkalum Treaty negotiations.

People in northern B.C. will have access to more services, including health-care supports and child care spaces, with an investment of more than $3 million from the Northern Healthy Communities Fund (NHCF).
