Community members are offering suggestions and sharing ideas during a face-to-face discussion in Terrace as part of a comprehensive, provincewide consultation on issues facing people with disabilities in B.C.

Affordable housing in Terrace is being preserved with the B.C. government's purchase of an 11-unit apartment complex for low-income individuals in the community.

Seniors in Terrace are celebrating increased access to affordable housing at Market Estates, a new development providing 24 units of seniors housing, funded by the governments of Canada and British Columbia along with community partners.

The Province is adding 30 web cameras to its DriveBC network this year, giving motorists more opportunities to check real-time traffic, road and weather conditions as they plan their trips. Six of these will be in Northern B.C.

The Province is investing $25.8 million in highway infrastructure improvements in the Northwest to improve the ride, safety and efficiency of the highway network for residents, travellers and commercial drivers.

The City of Terrace is receiving $373,500 toward its Active Transportation Network Linkage Project, announced Ida Chong, Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development.
