Students in the Kootenay-Columbia School District will be prepared thanks to $22,500 in provincial funding awarded to the district, helping to connect kids with opportunities in skilled trades and tech training. 

With new technologies such as 3D printers, 3D scanners and computer numeric control (CNC) machines beginning to hit the mainstream, it is easier than ever for businesses to benefit from their use.

Students, teachers and staff at Twin Rivers Elementary school in the Kootenay-Columbia school district will benefit from $515,900 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.

Families in the Kootenay-Columbia school district will no longer pay fees for students riding school buses within their schools’ catchment area and will also benefit from improved transportation services thanks to $242,977 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.
