Hundreds of families, students and staff in Vancouver can look forward to safer schools as funding for seismic upgrades has been approved for Lord Byng Secondary, Lord Selkirk Elementary and Dr. George M. Weir Elementary schools.

Students throughout British Columbia will benefit from safer, more efficient and comfortable schools, thanks to $198 million in maintenance funding for school districts.

Principals and Vice-Principals' Association, B.C. Association of School Business Officials, Federation of Independent School Associations and B.C. Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils:

Hundreds of children in Vancouver will be learning in new, seismically safe schools, with the replacement of Sir Matthew Begbie and Bayview elementary schools, announced Premier John Horgan.

Children and families throughout B.C. will continue to benefit from innovative literacy programs in their community thanks to a provincial investment of $500,000 to support this year’s Raise-a-Reader campaign.
