The Province has launched a new program to support whole-building retrofits for apartments, condominums and co-ops, helping make homes more comfortable and reducing energy bills.

With warmer temperatures on the way and weather experts forecasting a hot summer, the Province and public-health officials are taking several steps to help people stay safe this summer and are asking people to plan ahead.

The Government of British Columbia has released its CleanBC plan aimed at reducing climate pollution, while creating more jobs and economic opportunities for people, businesses and communities.

Energy and Mines Minister Bill Bennett announced today that the Province will provide $5 million in funding to Geoscience BC to support its work encouraging mineral and energy exploration investment and informed land-use decisions for the benefit of all British Columbians.

The official groundbreaking held at Little Mountain today marks the beginning of construction for the first new social housing building on the property.

Seniors in Vancouver now have increased access to affordable housing with the opening of Linden Tree Place, providing 30 new affordable rental apartments for seniors and persons with disabilities.
