The B.C. government and the City of Vancouver are opening additional winter emergency shelter spaces and adding more long-term housing supports for people who are homeless.

The province will fund more than 550 extreme weather shelter spaces across Metro Vancouver this winter to increase emergency shelter space when extreme weather conditions threaten the safety and health of individuals.
