The most recent class of BC Sheriff Service recruits has graduated at the Vancouver law courts after completing their training through the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC).

The Government of British Columbia welcomed a long-term export contract for B.C. forest products that will create long-term stable jobs for forest workers and forest-dependent communities.

Locals and visitors from around the world will have a variety of festivals, contests and shows to choose from in communities around B.C. over the coming year, with support from B.C.’s Tourism Events Program.

Thirteen B.C. communities are leading the nation as they adopt innovative and safe mass timber technology for taller wood buildings that are faster to build, better for the environment and create new jobs and opportunities for forest communities in the province.

The British Columbia government is launching a regionally driven renewal of the province’s Interior forest industry, aimed at developing a competitive, sustainable future for forest companies, workers and communities.

To create and support good jobs in British Columbia’s forest sector, government is investing $7.9 million to promote and grow markets for B.C. wood products at home and abroad.
