Twenty-five families, seniors and people living with disabilities in Vernon are settling into new affordable rental homes with the opening of two projects completed as a result of partnership between the Province, through BC Housing, and the Okanagan Village Housing Society.

Okanagan Indian Band members have access to new affordable homes with the opening of 16 rental units located on reserve.

The Province, through BC Housing, has partnered with the Turning Points Collaborative Society and the City of Vernon to open 52 new supportive homes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Vernon.

Vernon families and seniors have access to an additional 29 affordable rental homes for households with low to moderate incomes with the opening of Albert Place 2.

 A new permanent supportive housing building with 51 safe and secure homes will soon be available in Vernon for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

The Province, through BC Housing, has purchased the former Polson Park Motel in Vernon to provide 29 permanent homes with supports for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Construction is starting on a 35-unit housing development designed to help address the affordability and accessibility needs of Indigenous individuals, Elders and families in Vernon.

Families, seniors and people with disabilities in Vernon will soon have access to additional rental homes they can afford as construction begins on a 13-unit housing project in partnership with the Okanagan Village Housing Society.

People experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Vernon will soon have access to 52 safe and secure homes as construction begins on a new supportive housing project in the community.
