Facts about the new affordable homes in Vernon

The Village at Okanagan Landing

  • BC Housing invested $1.55 million through the Building BC: Community Housing Fund for the project and will provide an annual operating subsidy of approximately $112,000.
  • The City of Vernon waived $128,624 of municipal development fees.

4005 Pleasant Valley Road

  • BC Housing invested $1.2 million through the Community Housing Fund, as well as an annual operating subsidy of approximately $94,000, toward the project.
  • The federal government invested $540,000 through the Canada Community Housing Initiative, which is part of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation-British Columbia bilateral National Housing Strategy agreement.
  • The City of Vernon waived $130,720​ of municipal development fees.

Canada's National Housing Strategy (NHS)
