Nurses and patients at the North Okanagan Hospice House are among the people who will benefit from Community Gaming Grants for capital projects by non-profit organizations throughout the province.

The governments of Canada and British Columbia continue to invest in local infrastructure during this unprecedented time to meet the needs of communities across the province, enhance people’s quality of life, and support economic recovery from COVID-19. 

The Province is partnering with the Turning Points Collaborative Society (TPCS) on two proposals that would bring over 100 new supportive homes for people experiencing homelessness in Vernon.

The Province is working in partnership to deliver 141 new affordable rental homes for people with a range of incomes in the Interior region.

A new, secure permanent shelter for people experiencing homelessness, opening this week, will offer people the support they need to begin to regroup.

More people experiencing homelessness in Vernon can find a safe, warm place this winter as BC Housing and the city open new short-term shelter beds in the community.

The Government of British Columbia is moving ahead with new affordable rental homes for people with low to moderate incomes, including seniors and people with disabilities living in Vernon.
