More parents in the Interior will be able to return to work, go back to school or pursue other opportunities as the Province invests in about 150 new licensed child care spaces.

Generations of students will now be able to study in their communities, thanks to new, environmentally friendly mass timber housing being constructed at Okanagan College’s Vernon, Salmon Arm and Kelowna campuses.

Families in the Okanagan will have access to nearly 450 new licensed child care spaces as part of the Province’s ongoing commitment to increasing access to child care through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. 

Fifty community sport organizations in the Interior region will receive financial support from the Province’s $1.5-million Local Sport Relief Fund.

Families in Vernon and Coldstream will soon have access to 266 new licensed child care spaces as part of the Province’s ongoing commitment to increasing child care through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
