Premier David Eby and Grace Lore, Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity, have issued the following statement to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women:

Like other jurisdictions, B.C. is expected to see slower economic growth through 2023 because of global inflation and higher interest rates, before steady growth resumes in the medium term, according to projections from private-sector forecasters.

The Province has released results of the independent review and public consultation of government’s operational response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Thousands more families in B.C. will save thousands of dollars per year as more than 2,450 more child care spaces moved into the $10 a Day ChildCareBC program in December.

Young people living with substance-use challenges and their families are able to access new and enhanced substance-use services closer to home through a substantial expansion of addictions care throughout B.C.
