Health Minister Terry Lake announced $1.5 million in new funding today to support British Columbians living with chronic pain.  

The Province is providing $250,000 to continue to support the open education work being done in British Columbia through the Open Textbook Project.

Minister of Children and Family Development Stephanie Cadieux released the following statement in response to the Representative for Children and Youth’s (RCY) latest report, Delegated Aboriginal Agencies: How Resourcing Affects Service Delivery.

The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations has been issued a pesticide use permit to aerial-spray 182 hectares of residences, park and farm land around Elk Lake in Saanich with a spray approved for use on organic farms, to eradicate a growing population of gypsy moth and minimize the risk they pose to forests, farms, orchards and trees.

Twenty B.C. community and regional airports will share over $10 million in funding this year through the B.C. Air Access program for airport infrastructure improvements.

Twenty-six communities throughout B.C. will receive $9.25 million in funding for projects to expand and build cycling lanes, trails and paths for cyclists and pedestrians

The Province has released the new, updated guide to freshwater fishing rules and regulations.

The next phase of the logging contractor sustainability review is underway, as the Province works to improve the competitiveness of British Columbia forest sector contractors and licensees.
