Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Jobs, Economic Recovery and Innovation, has released the following statement on the 2022 Chamber of Commerce Week:

As of Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, 90.3% (4,502,854) of eligible people five and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 85% (4,234,749) have received their second dose.

People looking to start or complete an apprenticeship in the trades will have more training seats and supports as British Columbia prepares to implement skilled trades certification.

As of Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, 90.3% (4,501,768) of eligible people five and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 84.9% (4,230,298) have received their second dose.

Business events and workforce support initiatives, such as hiring and retaining employees, in the tourism sector will receive more than $9.3 million over the next two years as part of the Tourism Recovery Initiatives Action Plan.

As of Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, 90.3% (4,500,635) of eligible people five and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 84.8% (4,225,555) have received their second dose.

Nine contracts have been awarded for technical and engineering expertise to support the Province’s delivery of the Highway 99 Tunnel Program to replace the Massey Tunnel, which will improve mobility along the corridor between Richmond and Delta.

As of Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, 90.3% (4,499,531) of eligible people five and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 84.7% (4,221,630) have received their second dose.
