British Columbians will have an opportunity to participate in the second public consultation on the development of B.C.’s new Climate Leadership Plan.

A new report showcasing the Province’s first five years of carbon neutral government leadership is now available online.

To ensure B.C.’s future climate actions reflect the values of British Columbians, Premier Christy Clark invited families and members of the public to tell government what they would like to see in B.C.’s new Climate Leadership Plan, to be released later this spring. The next public engagement for the Climate Leadership Plan will launch on Monday, Jan. 25 and will run for 60 days.

In its final written submission to the National Energy Board (NEB) panel reviewing Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain Expansion project, the provincial government says it will continue to evaluate the project based on the company’s ability to meet the five requirements which B.C. has insisted must be in place for any new heavy-oil pipeline to receive provincial support.
