People at risk of homelessness, including youth, women, Aboriginal people and those leaving correctional facilities or hospitals in Victoria now have expanded access to rental assistance and support services with the launch of the new Homeless Prevention Program.

This past Thanksgiving weekend is a reminder that some residents in the Interior are struggling to find affordable housing, or are seeking emergency shelter.

As we spent time with friends and family this past weekend, we should keep in mind there are people in our communities who are unable to find affordable housing, or need to seek support at shelters on a regular basis.
