As the May long weekend approaches, government reminds people to avoid all non-essential travel in the province to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and instead stay local if you do decide to enjoy the outdoors.

With temperatures rising throughout the province, British Columbians are urged to take steps to prepare for the possibility of flooding.

With annual flood and wildfire seasons approaching in British Columbia and physical distancing restrictions in place due to COVID-19, the Province is launching a digital registration system for Emergency Support Services (ESS).

Over the Easter long weekend, British Columbians are asked to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 by avoiding all non-essential travel, staying home and finding virtual ways to connect and celebrate with family and friends.

The ninth round of Columbia River Treaty negotiations took place on March 11 and 12, 2020, in Washington, D.C. Katrine Conroy, Minister Responsible for the Columbia River Treaty, issued the following statement:
