The B.C. government is calling upon emergency management practitioners, community and First Nations leaders, businesses, non-profit organizations and other interested British Columbians to provide their input and expertise as the Province prepares to modernize its emergency management legislation.

After the seventh round of Columbia River Treaty negotiations on June 19 and 20, 2019, in Washington, D.C., Katrine Conroy, Minister Responsible for the Columbia River Treaty, and the Ktunaxa, Syilx/Okanagan and Secwepemc Nations observer team have issued the following statements:

Twenty-two local and regional governments have been approved to receive their share of more than $3 million in provincial emergency preparedness funding to support flood risk assessment, mapping and mitigation planning.
