Changes to the BC Parks Discover Camping Reservation Service for the 2017 season aim to improve fair access for everyone looking to book a campsite in B.C.’s world-class provincial parks.

Visitors can start planning their trips to two popular BC Parks destinations even earlier this year as bookings for the world-renowned Berg Lake trail and Bowron Lake canoe circuit open soon.

British Columbia’s provincial parks are not the only places where residents and visitors can enjoy camping. Recreation Sites and Trails BC (RSTBC) offers approximately 8,500 sites for camping at 1,700 locations in B.C.’s great outdoors.

Access to the parking lot at Sombrio Beach will be temporarily restricted for safety measures over the May long weekend to discourage illegal activities, such as parties and vandalism, which have occurred in past years.

For the first time, visitors will be able to book some of the most popular camping sites in Garibaldi Provincial Park, a favourite backcountry destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
