British Columbia is accelerating its zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) targets and helping more people go electric.

A new, modern Belleville Terminal and an improved travelling experience for ferry passengers took a significant step forward as the Province approved funding for a redevelopment project.

BC Hydro will move forward with a call for new sources of renewable, emission-free electricity to power British Columbia’s growing clean economy and create new jobs throughout the province.

The Province is providing $9 million to the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority to plan and install infrastructure at Ogden Point, allowing cruise ships to access clean hydroelectricity at the port, turn off their engines and help protect the environment.

Budget 2023 invests in improving health and mental-health care, creating more affordable housing, growing a clean economy and delivering more help with costs – especially for families and British Columbians most affected by global inflation.

People throughout British Columbia will now find it easier and convenient to recycle a wider array of single-use plastic items and packaging products in their residential blue box or at participating recycling depots.
