Bruce Ralston, Minister of Jobs, Trade and Technology, has issued the following statement on rescheduling the upcoming China meetings of B.C.'s current Forestry Asia Trade Mission:

The Government of British Columbia is one step closer to eradicating a growing population of gypsy moths in Surrey and minimizing the risk they pose to local forests, farms, orchards and trees.

More than 40 senior forest sector representatives are heading to Asia from Dec. 5 to 14, 2018, to grow markets for B.C. wood products.

Recently, I introduced new legislation that will better protect thousands of people coming to work in B.C. under the federal Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
