A coroner’s inquest into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Gabriel Johnson Choi, Hasan Khaled Ayyad and Allison Dawn Gilchrist is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, until Friday, Dec. 19, 2025.

Niki Sharma, Attorney General, has released the following statement in response to social media company X applying for judicial review of a Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT) order to remove a non-consensual intimate image from its platform:

Members of the BC General Employees’ Union (BCGEU) employed by the B.C. Public Service have ratified an agreement reached in mediation on Oct. 26, 2025.

Starting Dec. 1, 2025, couples where both members receive disability assistance will receive the same support allowance as they would if they were two single people.
