Breathing clean air is important to all British Columbians which is why the B.C. Government is providing $300,000 to the BC Lung Association for the continuation of two successful air quality programs, in recognition of Clean Air Day.

The B.C. government has proclaimed June 2015 to be "Invasive Species Action Month' to raise awareness of the environmental and economic damage that invasive plants and animals can cause if they become established in British Columbia.

Over the past 18 months, government has been working on a cumulative effects framework as part of its commitment to sustainable natural resource development.

Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) is now available to eligible British Columbians in Thompson Nicola Regional District areas E, I, M and N, including Cache Creek, Merritt, Logan Lake, and Lytton, who may have been impacted from the major flooding that occured this past weekend.

B.C. is proud to celebrate 10 years of the BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutritional program, and thanks to $3.5 million in new funding this year, it will continue bringing fruits, vegetables and milk to children in classrooms throughout the province.

The Buy Local program is partnering with the B.C Greenhouse Growers' Association in proclaiming May 23, 2015, "B.C. Veggie Day" and announcing $94,375 in funding to support the B.C. Greenhouse Growers' Association's B.C. Veggie Day initiative.
