People who use transit in Williams Lake are seeing improved service as a result of increased hours and improved service reliability.

Construction on Highway 97 from Williams Lake Indian Reserve No. 1 to Lexington Road will soon be concluding for the season, resulting in a speed limit increase from the current 50 km/h construction zone to 70 km/h.

A section of the Highway 97 arterial through the City of Williams Lake will be widened from three to four lanes, improving safety within the city limits for local traffic, and increasing the capacity and efficiency for north and southbound vehicles on the highway.

Anahim Lake and Williams Lake airports will receive $78,750 in combined funding from the B.C. Air Access Program this year.

Improving the safety and reliability of the Cariboo Connector between Cache Creek and Prince George remains a priority for the Province of British Columbia, with the final section of four-laning and intersection improvements of Phase 2 going out to tender.
